Put-In  / Take-Out

Put-in in the curve behind San Antonio („Estero“, GPS:  33°44'3.27"S,  70°18'5.63"W).
Alternative put-in at Melocoton (GPS 33°41'50.91"S,  70°20'7.51"W). 
Put-out at the „Parque los Heroes“, at the entrance of San José del Maipó
(GPS 33°37'38.07"S,  70°21'12.67"W).

Difficulty

WW III+
Open, sometimes massive rapids with more quiet sections in-between.
The constant gradient makes the river very fast, especially at middle and high flows.
Take care at the put-out !!, there is a new inlet for a power station, better scout it before the run.

  Fast descent through some big rapids, sometimes there are some boulders to run around.

   From above things look quiet easy…

   at water level it looks more sporty. One of the more difficult sections…

  … called „the Fucking Wave“

   The most difficult rapid is called „Desorden“…

  a longer rapid with some holes in-between you want to avoid…
